Jenya Shekhter | Set Designer

Jenya Shekhter (Set & Costume Designer) Born in Odessa, where she later began her professional immersion at the Odessa school of Theater Arts. After moving to Israel she continued her education in the theater department of Tel Aviv University (Master of Fine Arts). Throughout her professional career she has developed scenography and costumes for various Israeli repertory theaters, theater festivals, acting schools, and several independent theatrical projects. Productions designed by Jenya have been shown at many international festivals and have been critically acclaimed among juries. Two years ago Jenya had moved to Boston, and is now continuing to work on productions in Israel (remotely) and in the United States. Recent plays designed by Jenya include-- "Sailor's Silence", "Uncle Vanya", "Dead Souls", "A View from the Bridge".
